One Book One Chicago

A citywide book club for Chicagoans of every age

The focus of the club is to engage diverse groups of Chicagoans around common themes. Chicago Public Library offers a variety of free public programming, such as book discussions, author series, performances, art exhibits and films organized around one of the book’s main themes on the book’s theme. Programming takes place throughout Chicago and in partnership with Chicago’s robust cultural, educational and civic institutions.

In 2015, the Library launched a digital book club, to encourage online One Book discussions.
