Know Your Chicago: An Exploration Spanning 68 Years

Categories: Events

We are honored to have the partnership between the Chicago Public Library Foundation and Chicago Public Library featured in this year’s Know Your Chicago.

Know Your Chicago is a 68-year-old exploration of our City designed to promote civic awareness and participation in partnership with the University of Chicago’ Graham School an annual fall lecture and tour series designed to promote civic awareness and participation.

On October 18thknow-your-chicago and 19th, participants of Know Your Chicago will get an inside look at what makes our 36-year partnership with Chicago Public Library work and how minimal investments can impact thousands of Chicago residents through innovative Library programs that expand intellectual curiosity and community engagement. Participants also receive an in-depth tour of Harold Washington Library and the architecturally recognized Chinatown Library Branch, guided by the architects themselves.

We offer our sincere gratitude to the organizers of Know Your Chicago for selecting Chicago Public Library Foundation and Chicago Public Library to be included as one of the many important issues taking center stage in our City today.  Learn more about our investments in Library programs at cplfoundation.org.
