Announcing Eva Giglio,
Incoming President & CEO
Eva Giglio is the Chicago Public Library Foundation’s incoming President & CEO, beginning this August. Eva’s career spans education, government, and philanthropy. Her passion for lifelong learning and supporting strong communities began in a classroom at Kenwood Academy, where she taught middle and high school students. As a Deputy Chief of Staff for Chicago Public Schools, Eva led the school district’s five-year strategic plan and ensured the schools reopened safely during the pandemic. Eva is finishing her tenure as Executive Director of the CME Group Foundation, where she has been instrumental in shaping the Foundation’s focus from early childhood through college and career.
Eva’s commitment to Chicagoans runs deep: She serves as Board President of the Children First Fund Board, the Junior League of Chicago Community Advisory Board, the Youth Guidance Working on Womanhood Advisory Council, and the After School Matters Advisory Board.
Eva truly understands the critical role our Chicago Public Library plays as an anchor institution – from our youngest learners to our eldest community members. She joins us as our Library has become even more critical in guiding Chicagoans through the cultural, economic, social, and technological shifts our city is undergoing. We look forward to working with her to activate our Library 82 branch system, for every Chicagoan.
