What is Giving Tuesday?
In the midst of the retail frenzy following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday provides an opportunity to go from the consumerism of the holidays to one day of giving back to our community.
Why give on Giving Tuesday?
Today’s Chicago Public Library is more than just books and computers, it’s a community center where people of all ages – and walks of life – gather to explore, interact, and imagine.
Innovative programs like early learning centers, Teachers in the Library, YOUmedia, Maker Lab and many more offer children, families and adults opportunities to gain knowledge and critical skills necessary to achieve success in school and in life!
This Giving Tuesday (November 29th) give a gift to the Chicago Public Library Foundation that funds these nationally recognized programs, and our Board of Directors will match your gift with their $50,000 matching grant. Bonus: gifts over $35 receive a Library t-shirt.
Make a gift on this day of giving that ensures your Chicago Public Library remains a beacon in our city offering access to knowledge, ideas, resources, and technology for all.
