2018’s Night In the Stacks Results are IN!

This past Friday, the Associate Board threw what has come to be known as Chicago’s party in the Library. And what a night!

Echoing last year’s success, a huge congratulations to the Associate Board on their tremendous efforts and savvy that made this year’s Night In the Stacks another epic event!

Night In the Stacks Highlights

Together, sponsors and guests raised $170,000.00 to benefit the Chicago Public Library Foundation and Chicago Public Library programs, including Maker Lab, Summer Learning Challenge, CyberNavigator computer tutors, Teacher in the Library, teen programming through YOUmedia, and many more educational resources for Chicagoans of all ages.
The event included food courtesy of Jewell Events Catering and craft cocktails courtesy of Southern Glaziers Wine & Spirits. The dancing was kept high energy all night long thanks to our friend, the talented DJ Konsept who got into the music theme by mixing different music genres with contemporary dance hits.
Not to be missed was our interactive photo booth by Smilebooth that brought out the playfulness in all of us! For everyone dying to share, you can check out our photo booth’s greatest hits as well as the official #NightIntheStacks photos by Lynn Renee Photography here.
If you know anything about Night in the Stacks, you know that we have a reputation for putting together unbelievable raffle packages. This year’s prizes were worth $18,000 and didn’t disappoint! They included first-class round trip airfare, Lollapalooza and Pitchfork music festival tickets, and access to restaurants, events, and activities in Chicago that went to several lucky guests.
Thank you again to the tremendous efforts of the Chicago Public Library’s Associate Board and every dance-ready bibliophile that helped us party in Harold Washington Library Center’s stunning Winter Garden.  All proceeds fund Chicago Public Library’s innovative programming, which is world class, free and accessible to the public. (*Three words, we are proud to put together.)
In addition to our young Chicago philanthropists, we would also like to thank the following donors and sponsors that have helped make this year’s event a success.
