Who Loves Trivia?!

Join our Junior Board and book-loving professionals as we file into Fatpour in West Town on Wednesday, November 15, for a rousing game of musically-themed Trivia!

For everyone who loves factoids, Jeopardy, and raising your hands to all sorts of Chicago know-how, this Junior Board Get Carded event is for you!

What to expect?

The evening will include open bar with beer, wine, and liquor (until 8:30 p.m.), lite appetizers and a bar filled with Chicago bibliophiles going toe-to-toe on musically-themed Trivia.  For those looking to brush up on their musical knowledge before the big night, categories will include:
• Chicago Classics (1930-1999)
• Contemporary Hits (2000-present)
• Music from Chicago Artists in Film
• Classical Music and Theater
Winners will take home bragging rights, Chicago Public Library swag and four (4) Chicago Bears tickets as we move into pigskin season (Go Bears!) Tickets are on sale for $40.00 online or $45.00 at the door. $20 of which is tax-deductible and funds Library programs like One Book, One Chicago.

Why a Musically-Themed Trivia Night?

This year’s Trivia Night sends a nod to the 2017-2018 One Book, One Chicago selection I’ll Take You There: Mavis Staples, the Staple Singers, and the Music That Shaped the Civil Rights Era by Greg Kot. For those of you not familiar with the program, One Book, One Chicago is a citywide initiative dedicated to bringing Chicago communities together through a unique book club experience. The programming explores literary themes in the book through fun activities like walking tours, art exhibits, discussions, music performances and more.  I’ll Take You There marks the 28th selection of One Book, One Chicago and thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, all One Book programming is free to the public.
We’d love to extend a special thanks to Junior Board Get Carded event sponsors BMO Harris Bank, Advanced Resources, Susan & Bob Wislow Charitable Foundation, and Sprout Social. Additionally, we thank our dedicated One Book, One Chicago program funders The Chicago Community Trust, BMO Harris Bank, and United Airlines. With their help, over 10,500 Chicagoans participated in reading and participating in One Book, One Chicago programming last year alone.
