Join the Junior Board or Society
Young professionals (ages 25-40) who want to support the Chicago Public Library Foundation can join the Junior Board Society or the Junior Board.
Junior Board Society
Junior Board Society members help advance the Foundation’s mission with an annual gift of $150. They are invited to several events that are hosted by the Junior Board and receive a special ticket rate to the Carl Sandburg Awards Dinner. What’s more, Junior Board Society members have the chance to get reserved seating for Chicago Public Library author talks and events.
How to Join
If you are interested in joining the group, simply fill out the Junior Board Society donation form and you will receive a welcome email with instructions on how to stay engaged with events, volunteer opportunities, and more.
Junior Board
Joining the Junior Board is a great opportunity for active young professionals to get engaged in the Foundation’s fundraising efforts while meeting like minded individuals who believe in the free and open access to knowledge and learning for all Chicagoans. Each April, the Junior Board hosts Night in the Stacks, a major fundraising event benefiting programs at Chicago Public Library. The group also hosts other fundraising events throughout the year.
How to Join
Junior Board candidates are considered twice a year in spring and fall. If you are interested in joining the group, please fill out the Junior Board Application and send it to our Membership Chair at membership@cplfoundation.org. For detailed information on Junior Board requirements, check out our Junior Board frequently asked questions.
