During the Summer Learning Challenge, Carson devoured one book after another, trying different genres that piqued his interest. He was also consistent in reading for at least the recommended 20 minutes a day – a habit that he still practices today.
Aarav started participating in the Summer Learning Challenge at three. Eight years later, he is as excited as ever.
Four years in the making, the new Independence branch opened its doors to the public on January 22, 2019. “Everybody was ecstatic−excitedly cheering and clapping as they walked through the doors,” describes Rory. Roberta, herself, was in tears. “The moment was overwhelming to see the library of your dreams come to life.”
