A Night of Revelry
For one night, there are only three library rules you need to follow: Dance, drink, and party−as loud as you can! Every year, Harold Washington Library Center graciously opens its doors to help us host the annual fundraiser of the Library Foundation’s Associate Board and Associate Council.
One of the most anticipated events in Chicago, Night in the Stacks welcomes more than 400 up-and-coming young professionals who are also the Library’s most ardent supporters. Put on your mega-watt smile and be ready to mingle as you meet fellow bibliophiles (on and off the dance floor) from different industries and parts of the city.
We Bring FUN to FUNDraising
This year’s theme is (*drumrolls please*) science fiction as a nod to Chicago Public Library (CPL)’s One Book, One Chicago theme! The elegant Winter Garden will transform with elements of futuristic space travel straight out of a Philip K. Dick novel. Enjoy a cosmic gastronomy adventure (moon rock truffles anyone?) intergalactic beats featuring DJ Konsept, and a psychedelic cyberspace photo booth for an out-of-this-world experience.
You also get the chance to win awesome raffle prizes−from Lollapalooza tickets to exclusive dining experiences with world-class chefs. Check-out the packages here. You really want to go but can’t? Don’t worry; you can still take home a prize! Raffle tickets can be purchased online (1/$25, 3/$60, 8/$100) and you don’t have to be present to win.

Night in the Stacks is a celebration of transformative programs at CPL that help Chicagoans improve their lives. Last year, donors and friends raised $175,000 to fund resources like Early Literacy, Teacher in the Library, YOUmedia, CyberNavigators, and many more essential services. Night in the Stacks is more than just a rockin’ party; it’s an invitation to have fun while making a big difference for library users throughout our beloved city.
